A minimum wage increase of 70 cents per hour was implemented Tuesday and Kentucky employees are expected to earn two more raises by July 1, 2009.Although an estimated 8 percent of the workforce in Kentucky makes less than $5.85, approximately 200,000 workers are expected to feel the boost, according to the Governor’s Office for Policy research.
