The leading cause of health problems in international travelers is motor vehicle accidents. Therefore, travelers should research locations and review directions before embarking on unsupervised tours or trips. They should wear a seat belt at all times and exercise caution when driving or walking in countries where vehicles drive on the opposite side of the road.
